Background

Why It Matters

Pakistan faces a dual crisis of poverty and educational exclusion. Nearly half the population lives in poverty, while over 22 million children and adolescents remain out of school. Dropout rates—especially among girls—rise sharply at secondary levels, leaving young people without the skills needed for decent work or entrepreneurship. Without action, poverty continues across generations.

Our Goal

To reduce poverty by expanding access to inclusive education and equipping children and youth with market-relevant skills for sustainable livelihoods.

Who We Serve

  • Out-of-school children and youth (10–24 years)
  • Girls at risk of dropout
  • Youth from low-income, rural, and marginalized communities

What We Do

Inclusive & Flexible Learning
We establish community-based, non-formal, and second-chance education programs that bring learning closer to underserved children and youth.

Skills & Vocational Training
We deliver TVET programs aligned with local labor market needs, including digital and emerging sectors.

Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship
We integrate financial education, entrepreneurship training, and small business support into learning pathways.

Pathways to Livelihoods
We connect education and skills training with apprenticeships, job placement, microfinance, and enterprise incubation.

Partnerships & Systems Strengthening
We work with government, private sector, NGOs, and communities to scale impact and ensure sustainability.

Our Impact

Through Road to Prosperity, we aim to:

  • Increase enrollment and retention of out-of-school children and youth
  • Improve employability and income-generation skills
  • Promote girls’ education and economic participation
  • Strengthen links between education, skills, and labor markets
  • Reduce household vulnerability to poverty
