Background

Why It Matters

In Pakistan, fewer than one in four women participate in the formal workforce. Economic exclusion is even more severe for women in rural, low-income, and climate-affected communities, where access to skills, finance, and markets remains limited. Climate change further intensifies these challenges, threatening livelihoods in agriculture, small enterprises, and informal work. Investing in women’s economic empowerment—while integrating climate-smart solutions—is essential for building inclusive growth, resilient households, and sustainable communities.

Our Goal

To strengthen the economic agency, leadership, and climate resilience of women and girls by equipping them with market-relevant skills, financial capabilities, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Who We Support

  • Young women and girls (15–35 years) from low-income, rural, and climate-vulnerable communities
  • Women-led microenterprises and artisans
  • Unemployed youth and local training institutions

What We Do

Skills for the Future
We deliver vocational and technical training in high-growth and green sectors such as sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, eco-tourism, and the digital economy—combined with soft skills, leadership, and digital literacy.

Financial Empowerment
We build women’s financial confidence through training on savings, budgeting, and investment, while connecting them to banks, mobile wallets, and microfinance products designed for women entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship & Green Innovation
We support women-led businesses through incubators, cooperatives, start-up kits, and seed funding—promoting climate-smart enterprises such as organic food production, eco-crafts, and clean energy solutions.

Advocacy & Systems Change
We work with communities, the private sector, and policymakers to promote inclusive employment policies, gender-responsive budgeting, and positive social norms around women’s right to work and lead.

Our Impact

Through Her Financial Future, we aim to:

  • Increase women’s access to skills, finance, and decent work
  • Strengthen women-led enterprises and green livelihoods
  • Improve household resilience to climate shocks
  • Build public and policy support for gender-inclusive economic development

When women thrive, families prosper—and communities grow stronger.
